;)
My little miracle was born on Sunday the 22nd. It Wes an absolutely perfect VBAC.
We started by checking in, and getting my water broken right away, which took 3 painful attempts. Then they started some pitocin, very low, to encourage my body to start contracting.
A few hours after my water broke my body kicked into gear. The contractions were manageable, but getting harder and closer.
When they started getting to 1.5 minutes apart I was taken off the pit, which was still a very low dose, I got my epidural.
It took about 3 more hours then I began feeling more pressure. I measured at a 7, getting closer!!!! About that time I noticed my epidural wearing off. I was managing the pain though and decided to tough it out.
The contractions were getting significantly harder though and I was barely hanging on, so. Bumped up the meds. Unfortunately, it was too late. I was at a 10 and it was time to push. Yikes.
My doctor was delivery another baby in the next room so I had to hang in there and not push for about 15 minutes.
That was horrible.
He finally came in, and I began pushing. It was unbelievably painful and hard. I had a mirror set up so I could see the progress which helped. His head came out and I saw him unwrap his cord from around his neck,
Which was slightly unnerving to see :/
Next we're the shoulders, OW!!!!! So hard. Then I reached down to feel his head and helped pull him out
And bring him to my chest.
It was just amazing.
My miracle was finally here. This whole pregnancy I was scared of loosing him. Terrified that I could never
Actually carry a natural pregnancy to term and have a live birth. But suddenly he was here.
He was real!!!!
We were discharged 24 hours later. He is perfect, I am 6 days postpartum and feeling great!!!
He is eating so well, and I couldn't be happier <3
